TRAVEL // BLOT explores BERLIN

Berlin is where its at :-) We are going back next summer. Berlin is what Paris might have been earlier - everyone is an unemployed artist, musician or film maker :-) Cant help but feel bohemian here. The entire city has a second layer of stickers, art and urban expression. Crazy clubs, hard techno and cycles everywhere. Voted Best City 2008 by Thiruda.

RESEARCH // EVER SEEN A CLUB LIKE THIS ONE?

These are pictures from the Kross Club in Prague. VJ Thiruda paid a visit to this crazy, mad-maxian, recycled-interiors club where local Czechs love to party. Formerly a private club for artists only, everything inside the club is made from recycled industrial components from cars, machines, castings...the lighting is fantastic, and there are several moving light fixtures made from stuff like LEDs and car wipers! If you ever get the chance to go here, it will open your mind to a whole new sense of space and interiors for clubs.

TRAVEL // BLOT Explores Prague, CZ

Prague is like a Transylvanian dream. Checked out some amazing clubs that we might play at next summer. Had German and Czech wurst everyday. It was a bit rainy, but the cobbled streets made up for everything else. The only hitch was that there were too many Brit lad groups getting drunk and pissing on the streets at night :-)

TRAVEL // BLOT EXPLORES GENEVA

We were in Geneva for the Mapping Festival... and had some time in between to see the city. Its beautiful as expected from Europe..not great for the clubbing scene, but we met some interesting people at the festival. Amazing cheese, preserved meat and views, so it was picnic time everyday by the lake. A little chilly but a good break from torrid Delhi. Geneva is for bankers with beautiful wives :-)

VJ Thiruda at the Mapping Festival 08 // Geneva

Take a look at some of the stuff from the Mapping Festival 2008, for which i travelled to Geneva and then scene-hopped through Europe for a month. It was a small festival, taken care of by the wonderful guys at GarageCube (who make VJ Software Modul8).
